White on White
I walked down to the beach yesterday evening with David in my favorite white jeans. They haven’t gotten as much use as last summer, but its always fun to put on a garment that was once a go-to. My clothes carry so many memories for me, I remember this quote by Philip Lim a few years ago that really rang true…
I don’t think clothes should have that feelng of ’I cant wear this because its too precious.’ In those moments you miss out on all those experiences of your life. I like my clothes to be there when you cry, when you laugh, when you have a silly moment of combustion,when you break up, when you make up. Its those experiences that stay with you, thats what my clothes are, they are a good friend.
