I spent last weekend in Stockholm with David and his good friend Tom Hall. We arrived on the Saturday after Midsummer, and trust me when I say I have never experienced a city less alive. Apparently, the entire population was off at summer homes or hiding in their respective apartments because it was a total ghost town.

Like, not a single person around. I was expecting to see hundreds of blondes strolling around in their converse sneakers and to do mad shopping, but neither was the case. Every store was closed and we even had a hard time finding somewhere to eat.

I did enjoy experiencing Stockholm all on our own, though. It was kind of special freely roaming and taking in the architecture. It was especially lovely getting to know David’s friend Tom and seeing his hometown almost exclusively.

David and I head back to Miami in a week, so I am hoping to come back into Stockholm to do some shopping….and to confirm that people actually live there. x
