Capture Fashion 2012 Highlights

By Amanda Del Duca

Watch me breakdown my favorite Capture Fashion photo shoots from 2012. Come over, it will be fun. xx

Started off 2012 in a bikini. I love Miami <3

One of my favorite looks from the year. I really dig this Blaque Label Sequin skirt. The high-waist fit, full-on sequins and a side-slit makes it glam factor to the max. #Adore

Alexandra Palmer x Capture Fashion.

Such an epic shoot. I recently worked with Alexandra again on a eyewear look book. She currently lives in New York and looks fantastic. So happy to have worked with this beauty this year.

The first gif David and I attempted. I completely forgot about this one. I think it might be one of the better ones. Beginners luck?

A beautiful photo shoot I did with German magazine, Brigitte, in the Florida Everglades in February 2012. This shoot was really challenging, but the final photos made it so worth it.

A couple outfits from early in the year personal style updates…

Capture Fashion profile on Miami man-about-town, Martin Solorzano. LOVE this shot. It was inspired by an Esquire feature on Leonardo Dicaprio. #Swoon

I love looking at these photos because, for us at the time, this shoot was a really ambitious. I think these photos were a bit of a “break through” moment for me personally. The final images left me with so many ideas to make future shoots better and a sense of pride that it actually worked.

Heading into March looks and photo shoots.

This image is so dope. David and I love to shoot in the Everglades, even if they don’t want us too.

Capture Fashion covered WMC in collaboration with Kanon Organic Vodka at The Standard Miami.

In 2012 I fell in love with shorts suits. Why? Cause. They. Are. So. Perfect.

I finally went to the legendary Versace mansion on Ocean Drive. In almost three years living in Miami, it was about damn time!

Earlier this year, VAULT magazine launched and I became a contributing editor to the magazine’s online edition.

Capture Fashion did it’s first DIY feature and editorial. I still can’t believe I painted all that jewelry with nail polish. To give you an update, I haven’t had to touch up any of it. I still wear the pieces and use them on styling jobs all the time. #Tryit

Capture Fashion collaborated with Our Prince of Peace and Refinery29 on the brand’s look book. This shot is my fav.

Mini vacation to the Florida Keys to kick off early summer.

A hair style I still enjoy. It gets some looks, but it’s super comfy. Plus Daria Werbowy rocked it for Vogue Paris, so ya.

A Capture Fashion collaboration with Lou Paris for a sexy lingerie feature. #meow

David Lunblad snapped Miami Fashion Bloggers for Capture Fashion and Google Plus. This shoot was crazy awesome. It’s funny to think about getting all these bloggers in one place now.

I feel in love with an image by Sebastian Mader for Interview magazine that captured a bunch of models styled in retro suits to represent 1950s Florida. Besides just obsessing over the original image, we did our own version. So fun and so many things to learn. I hope to do even more experimental shoots this year.

David and I went to Sweden! We spent the month of June in the beautiful country and we both can’t wait to go back. #Amazing

Back in Miami…..

Just in time for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim. I covered the week for VAULT magazine and wore exclusively ALEXIS all week. It was an absolute pleasure.

Nicole Kay Clark x Capture Fashion. This is definitely a highlight of the year. I loved this ode to South Beach and working with Nicole is fantastic.

Meryl Villacorta x Capture Fashion. One of my dearest friends made her debut on da blog in August 2012.

Taylor Hannum x Capture Fashion. MY FAVORITE SHOOT OF THE YEAR. Taylor shut it down in Fall 2012 ALEXIS. It was one of the best days, ever.

Another favorite shot from the year from a feature called “Planes, Trains and Jumpers.” I wore different jumpers around various forms of transportation in Miami. Good times!

I fell hard for an obsession with ROSES in 2012. I think I’m still in it.

I styled the Woodies Spring 2013 look book and met model, Ashley Sky. I became her personal stylists after connecting with her on this shoot.

This shot of her is so beautiful. It also features one of my favorite new swimwear lines from this year, La Belle Rebelle.

More rose influences…

Oh, and I like roses on the face, too. Rose water spray by Tammy Fender is ace.

In December I did an exiciting collaboration with ELLE magazine and Kenneth Cole on Holiday Style.

We made a noir comic..

Taylor Hannum x Capture Fashion. She was a 2012 favorite. #muse

Marie Charlotte x Capture Fashion. We did a Twinkies story and it was cute. The shot with the doughnut powder is a stunner.

The last big photo shoot of the year, Ashley Sky during Art Basel.

And the final personal style shot of the year.

It’s been a fantastic year with many happy moments and lots of hard work. I’m looking forward to updating in 2013 and hopefully interact more with some readers! I would love to hear from you. Drop a line in the comments or tweet me @adelduca xx
