Next up in my Small Business Saturday suggestions is the incomparable, Plant the Future.
This local spot is my absolute favorite place to pick up a unique gift. The entire space is awe inspiring and oh-so-beautiful. Colorful mini terrariums, large air plants protruding from minimalist figurines and huge pieces of art formed by bright green moss all transport you to the whimsical world created by owner, Paloma Teppa.
Step inside this Wynwood haven and you will not want to leave without something for someone special.

Small Business Saturday is this weekend! November 29th. Follow me on social media for more of my #SmallBizSat Miami picks and please share any suggestions you have!
When you shop at small businesses in your neighborhood, hometown, or favorite city, you are supporting people’s passions, the jobs they create and the culture they instill in local communities.
It can be tricky dressing for fall when it’s 82 and sunny. I like to play with light weight texture like mesh to add that feeling of wearing a knit without the warmth that goes with it. This Nightwalker Apocalypto Dress has been my jam the last couple weeks.
Shop it like it’s hot at SlasherGirl.
OH – and you should do it on Friday! SlasherGirl is doing a maj 30% off the ENTIRE SITE and FREE SHIPPING in the US for Black Friday AND Cyber Monday. xo!
It’s that time of year again – the holiday season!
This year I’ve partnered with American Express as a Small Business Saturday Ambassador. Small Business Saturday was founded in 2010 by American Express. Falling between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Small Business Saturday is a day to celebrate and support local small businesses that help create jobs, boost the economy and keep our neighborhoods unique.
Since starting my own small business this year, I couldn’t feel more compelled to support my fellow small business owners and help reach dreams. When you shop at small businesses in your neighborhood, hometown, or favorite city, you are supporting people’s passions, the jobs they create and the culture they instill in local communities. Come back every day this week for my LOCAL MIAMI picks for Small Business Saturday and get your plan together for the 29th to go out and support our local community!
First up is the Alessandra Gold Concept store in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood. Miami local, founder and owner of the Alessandra Gold Concept Store and the creative director or KruZin Footwear. Alessandra is a perfect example of small business owners having a big impact! This year, the designer has collaborated with featured artists on a Miami Art Series of sneakers dedicated to Art Basel. Look out for the KruZin x Yuri Tuma and KruZin x Malcolm Stuart pieces.

We’ve been going lookbook loco over at Slasher Girl. I’ve been trying to produce two or three mini lookbook-style series a month to show off how to wear our stock. Styling and creative direction are FO SHO my biggest passions and really the most fun part of my work at /girl. I also get to meet at the new face babes coming into Wilhelmenia Miami which is certainly another highlight.
Below are a couple of my favorite shots from the BREEZY LIVING series. Check out all the pics and links to shop the looks at Slasher Girl here.

Men are from Mars. Yara is from Venus.
Another styling gig from the latest issue of Galore Mag. This one is my favorite! Yara is a D-R-E-A-M to work with and this space series really just does it for me. Silver boots, blue skies and 60s vibes. Check out the entire spread over at Galore Mag. All swimwear by Beach Bunny.

How cool is this?! At the time, I couldn’t see the sun beam but that space felt warm so I gravitated toward it. It’s pics like this that make me happy that I’m always stopping to document the good times. I know a lot of people out there think this generation doesn’t appreciate being in the moment, but without this photos I don’t think I would have remembered this day. Or, how awesome the sun felt on my skin or how excited I was to see the light effect in my photo album a few hours later. The moment was good but the memory of the moment is almost better. For me, at least. x
