Being Thankful
I’m shooting TWO exciting projects this weekend and I couldn’t be happier. I absolutely love planning photo shoots. I want to do it forever and everrr.
Anyway, David snapped these of me while location scouting for the Athletic Glam shoot on Saturday. I recently re-discovered this silk bomber jacket in my closet from a 2006 Urban Outfitters purchase. I probably have worn it twice in the last six years, and now double that in the last week. Such a score when something old becomes new again. xx

Sweatpants and Sparkles
Happy Thanksgiving, friends. I hope you all have many things to be thankful for and spent the day with people or someone you love.
Now let’s get to what I’m thankful for…photo shoots! Here goes my latest inspiration collage for a CaptureFashion shoot tomorrow morning. Today, I’m finalizing prep and finishing off the last details. Can’t wait to share the photos next week. Check out my instagram for behind-the-scene action, @adelduca. x

Colors of Ice
The weather has been so delicious in Miami. Cold in the morning then sunny and breezy all afternoon. Completely glorious.
Over the weekend, David and I headed to North Beach to take these photos. We always shoot on South Pointe for beachy-shoots, but honestly I don’t know why. It’s always packed and there are always photographers shooting in the good spots. North Beach was amazingly quiet and we had the scene to ourselves. I’ve grown used to “posing” in front of people, but that doesn’t mean I like it. Especially when I’m in more “editorial” looks that obviously are going to garner attention. These outfits would have been fine, go figure.
Anyway, did anyone brave the Maison Martin Margiela x H&M launch? I did! Yup, I got to the Lincoln Road store at 7:30 am and was in by 8:25 am. It would have been an incredible had my location received the ONE item I was dying to own – the oversized jeans. Yea, I kind of threw a fit right there in the women’s section. It just seemed so unfair. I was there! I was early! I’m sure there are far more dramatic stories, please feel free to share. I did buy a necklace, though, and it made everything better.

Bib + Tuck
I’m here to share news on one of my most recent collaborative projects. I teamed up with online shopping destination, Bib + Tuck, to launch a new trends section where members can shop curated selections.
Together with cofounders, Sari Azout and Sari Bibliowicz, we mapped out current trends for fall and then shot mini-features to be highlighted in the new, curated selections on Bib + Tuck.
What is Bib + Tuck? It’s a member-only community for women to trade fashion items. Aka shopping without spending. Members upload (“bib”) any designer items they’ve grown tired of from their own wardrobe for other members to buy (“tuck”). The virtual currency is then the original owners to use toward scoring pieces that others have put up for grabs. Bib + Tuck essentially brings creative, stylish people together so that each can find new in each other’s old.
The site is now launched and you can apply for membership here. When you do, check out the trends section! xx

Here go the rest of my loot from the ALEXIS sale.
The lace embroidered jacket with zipper details is something I feel I should talk about. The jacket is everything. The zipper goes all the way up the back and the shoulders are structured, creating the most perfect fitting outerwear. The fit, prints and fabrics by ALEXIS are always at top quality. An ALEXIS garment is something that lasts and makes a statement.
I would like to mention my clutch in the same look. By designer Heather Belle, this hand-painted Stella clutch is all kinds of major. This clutch also has zipper details around the edge, paired with the ALEXIS jacket, it all felt destined to be together.
David and I shot these over the weekend at our favorite spot in Homestead. The fields look different throughout the year, I love driving out and anticipating whether the grass will be tall, or if this is the time we get attacked by alligators. xx
Stella Clutch, Heather Belle Co. Snake print pants, Structured black vest, Lace embroidered jacket – all ALEXIS and available at sale Thurs-Friday. Sheer sleeve satin top, Forever21. Harem pants, Cheap Monday. Shoes, Zara. Purple hair clips, left overs from Halloween.
ALEXIS
It’s that time of year, ladies! The ALEXIS semi-annual sale is this Thursday. If you are new to Miami, or perhaps haven’t heard whispers about the best sale of the year….well now you know, it’s this one right here. ALEXIS is my absolute favorite Miami designer. I wear the brand often and proud. I was lucky enough to score a preview of the infamous sale last week. The insane skirt I’m wearing above is my favorite piece. I’ll post the rest of my finds later today.
There are SO many amazing pieces in this sale, if you are going, best get on it early. The warehouse is BIG (and absolutely gorgeous) but it fills up fast and there is a ton a merchandise.
Another tip: try to car pool if going with friends because the parking situation can get stressful. Goodluck!
