Capture Fashion by Amanda Del Duca

I love to work with models. The unique energy each model brings to set is always something I look forward to experiencing. Most of the time, we end up friends or at least keeping in social media contact. Collaborating creatively and keeping in contact with beautiful models is pretty major considering how often David and I like to shoot.

This series was particularly special because Meryl and I already knew each other. I went to UF with Meryl (same sorority if you can believe it) and she has been one of my nearest and dearest friends for years.

I get nervous asking her to pose for me because we are so close. I’m not sure why. Should maybe be the other way around? Seems that since we are homies and she is a model and I do CaptureFashion, that we would be on this. It’s all about timing I suppose.

Regardless, I am thrilled to finally get her in our studio and let magic happen. Meryl is a natural babe, so David and I really wanted to highlight her raw beauty. Exposed wood floors, white walls and Meryl very simply styled. The styling was sort of challenging. We talked about very simple and sexy. Lounge wear that is targeted toward a male audience. AKA no jewelry or makeup fun. It kind of hurts when I don’t bling it on set, but concept always wins.

Spending the morning working with Meryl and David on this shoot was amazee. I am so happy with the final photos and really eager to shoot Meryl again…if she’ll have us. :p

Pop over to David’s site to view additional pics and a few words by the man himself.

Special thanks to Meryl for bringing the heat. Loves u. xx
