Capture Fashion by Amanda Del Duca

I heart this shoot sooo hard. I was on Tumblr last week and saw an older black and white shot of Ashley Olsen in aluminum can hair rollers with a pin in her mouth that was so beautiful and inspiring. After confirming rooftop access to my friend Dianna’s home, Villa Nirvana, I knew I wanted to work in Diet Coke can curlers. Giving the whole look a white trash theme pretty much fell in place after that.

David and I did the original ‘White Trash Barbie‘ shoot in the grimey laundry room of our building in South Beach and the whole thing was pretty much by accident. I had this ridiculous jean jumper that I bought on impulse purchase a year or so before and was in one of those moods where I was gonna make the damn thing work. It’s still one of my favorite shoots, but revisiting now with hair and make-up and a little more experience makes it super fun. Special thanks to Sheenon, Ian, Jonny and of course, David.  xx
